Meet the artist

Lorraine Delangis

My work is rooted in imagination, nature and the joy of creating. After exploring several mediums, I discovered fabric sculpting in 2010, and it became the foundation of my artistic practice.

I build each sculpture on a wire armature, layer it with fabric, then paint and seal the finished piece. The process is hands-on and expressive, creating one-of-a-kind work that brings personality and charm to its surroundings.

I have been teaching workshops since 2011, sharing my techniques and encouraging others to discover their own creative voice. I am also exploring clay figure sculpting as my work continues to evolve.

My goal is simple: to create art that sparks imagination and brings joy.

A sculpture comes to life.

Shape

A wire armature establishes the pose, gesture and unique personality of each figure.

Layer

Fabric is dipped, draped and sculpted by hand, building movement and rich texture.

Finish

Colour, detail and protective sealing make the finished work ready for home or garden.

Fabric Sculpture Workshop
